Groupe Germain is a family-run Canadian company headquartered in Quebec that owns and operates three Boutique-hotels in Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto, as well as two “no-frills chic” ALT Hotels in Montreal and Quebec City. Hôtel Le Germain Calgary is the company’s first development in Western Canada, featuring the 143-room boutique-hotel, 40 luxury condominiums (which all sold in one day) and an office tower.
The Groupe Germain philosophy is all about authentic elegance. Design
Hôtel Le Germain Calgary is an architectural expression of the signature style of Groupe Germain. The hotel rooms are designed as if contained in a wooden treasure chest, entirely clad in warm, natural wood and suspended above a dramatic 25-foot glass wall that fills the lounge and front desk area with radiant natural light. This exposure to the urban environment adds a modern vitality to the spacious, inviting lobby area. The hotel interiors celebrate a return to natural materials, including volcanic stone floors, wood paneling, soft leathers and solid granite.
Le Germain Calgary is the company’s first combined boutique-hotel, office tower and residence complex. Within the vitality of this multi-use format, however, Groupe Germain has carefully preserved the intimacy and boutique flavour by limiting the number of guest rooms to just 143.

Lobby
Hôtel Le Germain Calgary’s lobby is enveloped in a dramatic 25-foot glass wall that fills the lounge and front desk area with radiant natural light. This exposure to the urban environment adds a modern vitality to the spacious, inviting lobby area. [+]
In addition to a dramatic spiral stairwell, note the large, commissioned Pascale Girardin ceramic artwork in the hotel lobby.
Beyond the front desk, Central 899 is a chic lobby lounge for clever and delicious cocktails, refreshing drinks and a generous menu of small plates.
