Chef David Chrystian Brings Toronto’s Cultural Flavour to Social Dining Destination, Victor Restaurant.

A champion of the Slow Food movement, talented young Toronto chef serves a fresh take on his city’s neighbourhood cuisine.

Toronto, ON: Victor’s Social 52 offers signature familial dinners downtown nightly -- 52 weeks a year -- by Chef David Chrystian. With ingredients that mirror the Canadian seasons and showcase sustainable, organically sourced ingredients, Social 52 has become a signature of Toronto’s accomplished chef in the restaurant adjacent to Hotel Le Germain Toronto in the entertainment district.

Inspired new menus announced today bring Chef Chrystian’s social dining concept even closer to home -- through the city’s neighbourhood cuisine. Victor Restaurant introduces a daily four-course, prix-fixe feature that corresponds with one of Toronto’s magnetic neighbourhoods from Christie Pitts to Gerrard East to The Danforth and beyond.

“Each day, a new Toronto destination becomes the Social 52 menu focus,” says Chef Chrystian. “On Wednesdays our diners could experience the essence of Gerrard East with lentil soup, butter chicken, spinach, raita, rice and papadum. Sundays, the best of Kensington Market take the showcase spot.”

“Meals shared with friends and family in a dynamic social setting is Victor’s raison d'etre,” says director of food and beverage Michael Sullivan. “Each dinner features soups, salads, vegetables, entrees and desserts served family-style with intimacy for couples or with conviviality for larger groups. Today, we welcome guests to embrace this communal cuisine concept through our communities’ local favourites”
