Groupe Germain Announces CHARCUT Roast House Will Occupy Lucrative Downtown Core Restaurant Space at Le Germain Calgary

Groupe Germain Co-President Christiane Germain is pleased to announce that the company’s premier tenancy relationship for its multi-concept project, Le Germain Calgary, has been formalized with CHARCUT Roast House.

"Groupe Germain is delighted to formalize a tenancy relationship with these bright, young restaurateurs for the space in the heart of Calgary’s urban core," says Madame Germain. "These people comprise the right professional team -- with compelling ideas and unparalleled combined experience -- to help deliver Le Germain Calgary’s promise when it opens and for years to come."

Scheduled to open in December 2009 at 9th Avenue and Centre Street SW, Le Germain Calgary is situated in the heart of Calgary’s dynamic downtown with several vital and expanding retail and cultural developments in the area, including:

  • The Core retail mall is undergoing redevelopment to be complete in 2010 -- from a new Holt Renfrew and new Harry Rosen anchor store to the world's largest glass ceiling
  • Fashion Central, which comprises three historic buildings under renovation, will be ready for occupancy in 2009 by contemporary fashion retailers
  • Cultural programming and large-scale events bring continuous energy to the city centre -- from the 2009 World Skills Competition and the 2009 Grey Cup Festival to Alberta Arts Days and the Calgary International Film Festival -- at vibrant urban venues such as the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts.

The CHARCUT Roast House restaurant concept and design as well as spa and retail tenants for Le Germain Calgary's prominent urban space will be announced as plans unfold.
